Baby Showers

We were really lucky because we had several showers for baby Carter. But I only have pictures for two of them :( I don't have any pictures from my work or ward baby shower. 

My cousins threw me a shower in August and it was a lot of fun. I was super glad that both of my grandparents and my mom were able to make it from out of town. Here are a few pictures from that shower.

Then in September  Laurel threw me a baby shower. She did an amazing job and luckily our family from Logan was able to come. We love spending time with them!

Dallin even came over to hang out for a minute.

We are so blessed to have so many good friends and family who spoiled our little Carter.

Gender Reveal

Since we have nieces and nephews (only one nephew at this point), we wanted to do something fun that they could be apart of for our gender reveal party. We decided that everyone would make a cookie and decorate it pink or blue to show us their guess.

Then we wrote everyones guess on the chalk board.

If you know Dallin then you know he has a love for sports. So we decided to have our First Annual Baby Draft 2015. Dallin talked about the "pros" and "cons" of having a boy or a girl, then we put on the hat of the gender we "chose".

Dallin wanted to trick everyone so we put on the pink hats and everyone was excited we were having a girl. We told everyone that we had drinks to celebrate in the color of the gender. Then we pulled out blue drinks and everyone was super surprised!

It was a fun party and we are so glad most of our families could be there.

Telling our Families

We were a little creative but nothing too special when it came to telling our families. Since I was sick and it was pretty hard to hide, we decided to tell our families soon after we found out I was pregnant.

We had a family dinner at Dallin's parents house and after dinner we put our niece in this shirt and waited for everyone to notice. Apparently they all figured it out because we don't usually take our camera to family dinner.

A Few Pics

So I haven't blogged in a long time but we recently had a baby boy and I want to do better at documenting his life. But first I want to share a few pics from the year before we found out I was pregnant. I just threw this together so sorry the pics aren't all lined up!

Happenings as of Late

This last weekend I went to Boise, oh how I have missed that place! It was really fun and relaxing before getting into all the summer craziness at the Conference Center. Since Dallin has been studying quiet a bit lately I have been coming up with projects and new hobbies. In Boise Jodi taught me how to sew a few dresses and we made some patterns :) She is amazing, check her out HERE and HERE. It was lots of fun and pictures will be coming soon. So now that I know how to sew and have some patterns, I will be doing that more :) I also just planted a *small* garden...as in raspberry plant and some onions. I have been practicing photography and here are a few pics I have taken lately:

nothing too special but practice makes perfect!! Also if anyone wants to be a little crafty with me and make a few things, let me know!! I could use some company :)

Memorial Day Weekend

 Lately we have been addicted to a show called Parenthood, we have been staying in and watching it everyday. So last Saturday when Dallin was done studying and I finished preparing for a lesson, we decided to get out of the house and go to the batting cages. My man is a good hitter, just look at his form!! haha

Monday our friends, Clark, Michelle and their cute baby, Rudy, came up from Kaysville to hang out with us. We went to Al's for a sale, ate at a Mexican place and then went for a hike in Green Canyon. It was such a beautiful day! We even wore our matching Oregon Duck sunglasses :)

Oh and if you have a dog and like to hike, you need to get it a backpack! It was nice not carrying our keys or water. I will try to be better at blogging, but the summer is crazy with my internship so lets hope I can keep up!
