So this week has been my first official week in So Jo. Want to know my theme song of the week? I will give you a hint... today I don't feel like doing anything, I just wanna lay in my bed, don't feel like picking up my phone so leave a message at the tone... yep! Lazy Song by Bruno Mars. I thought it fit me so well I made it my ringtone :) After a long semester its nice to have a week like this, I get to "sleep in" (as long as my body lets me), watch TV, look for a job, go to cousins soccer games, hang out, and visit my cousins and their kids (who are extremely adorable!) But since I am usually so busy its been kinda weird, especially since the only times I am not too busy I am usually with my mom... I miss that. I wish this week wasn't so stormy because shockingly I have WANTED to run to get into shape. I know, that's weird coming from me. I am so excited to be around my cousins so much more. They are honestly some of my best friends and whenever I am with them I have SO much fun and we always seem to have adventures...I will give you an example that actually happened tonight:
So as I was doing my hair the other day when I realized how bad my ends looked. Girls, you know how it is...when you are trying to grow out your hair you get bad ends, but if you go get them cut they always seem to cut more than you wanted. Well my mom, being a genius, suggested I asked my cousin to do it. Well I did and she agreed and said she had done it before to multiple people. I went over to her house tonight so she could cut my nasty ends. Usually she uses a squirt bottle to get the hair wet but it broke or was lost or something, so she decided to use s baby's sippy cup. Needless to say I was drenched but somehow it only got a strip of my hair haha After trying to dunk my hair in the cup we looked up and realized...Oh there is a sink and a sprayer! how come we didn't think of that before!! In an attempt not to get me as wet or hair all over me, we decided to put on an apron, backwards. This was so much better than a salon! I guess you can say it was an exciting adventure. I had a blast spending some of my night tonight at my cousins house!

Summer is here
So I am officially done with spring semester!! I am done packing, unpacking, repacking and just about done unpacking AGAIN haha And I'll tell you what, this is the way I have been feeling...
I am so excited for this summer. It is going to be completely different and a wonderful new experience I am sure of it! If you didn't know I moved in with my aunt and uncle and I can already tell its going to be a great new adventure. Of course I will miss Boise and my family but I will for sure visit :) I had a great time visiting but it was not long enough especially when I did so much packing and unpacking haha.
I know this is random but I think this is the cutest youtube video. He is so happy about his first kiss and I find it completely adorable the way he acts :)
Hope finals went well for everyone and I am sure you are all ready for summer!! I know I am!

Sunday Will Come
I stole this from another blog but I really loved it and wanted to share it since its Easter :)
Excerpts from "Sunday Will Come"
by Joseph B. Wirthlin
"On that Friday the Apostles were devastated. Jesus, their Savior—the man who had walked on water and raised the dead—was Himself at the mercy of wicked men. They watched helplessly as He was overcome by His enemies.
On that Friday the Savior of mankind was humiliated and bruised, abused and reviled.
It was a Friday filled with devastating, consuming sorrow that gnawed at the souls of those who loved and honored the Son of God.
I think that of all the days since the beginning of this world’s history, that Friday was the darkest.
But the doom of that day did not endure.
The despair did not linger because on Sunday, the resurrected Lord burst the bonds of death. He ascended from the grave and appeared gloriously triumphant as the Savior of all mankind."
"Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays.
But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.
No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come. In this life or the next, Sunday will come."
"The Resurrection transformed the lives of those who witnessed it. Should it not transform ours?"

"Perfection"
Have you ever felt the need to be Perfect? Or you feel like the people around you are Perfect? Do you ever feel like the media has no idea what they are doing to kids these days? Do they realize that the way they portray people is WRONG? That nobody is really that skinny, and nobody has perfect hair all the time. They are wrong. Everyone struggles. We all struggle in different ways and that's why we have family and friends to help us through the tough times. I read this blog and it really made me stop and think. I am not gonna lie I did cry but if you read it, I think it will hit you too. Please take some time to read this, realize that people around you are struggling. Realize you need to be REAL.
BE YOURSELF, not what you think people want to see.
This is me trying to spread REAL. I am not going to tell you my deepest darkest secrets, or the things I am struggling with, but know that I do struggle, everyone does. It's normal, nobody is perfect. Please get REAL and help somebody out. You may not realize it but the people around you are struggling, be a good friend and make sure they know they can talk to you whenever they need to. It may seem like everything is ok on the outside, but wake up, its called a mask, a fake facade. I know sometimes its easier to put on a smile and pretend everything is alright and I realize that sometimes when you are struggling that's all you can do. I just want everyone to know that its ok not to be perfect. The definition of perfect is entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings. Do you realize that's basically impossible? I do believe that one day we will all be perfect and we will become that way through Jesus Christ. He will help us overcome our shortcomings, and our flaws. But until then, try to be the best person you can be, and while you are doing that realize its ok if sometimes you fall short. You don't need to feel ashamed or like everyone is better than you.
I just want to end by saying this, Heavenly Father loves you. He knows who YOU are and he knows YOUR struggles and YOUR pain. Don't turn away, He will help you. And please please please realize that you don't need to be "Perfect" just be the best you. I hope this didn't make you sad, I just wanted to make you think. Make you realize you aren't alone.
"This is me, weeping as I write, asking the good people of the world to find somebody to put their arm around and be "real". This is me, wishing that people would realize how beautiful they are, even with all of their imperfections. This is me, sad and desperate for the girls in this world to love themselves. This is me, a very imperfect man, trying to help others feel a little more perfect by asking you to act a little less perfect. Will you help me spread "Real"?... You never know who might be alive tomorrow because you were real today. You never know who needs to feel like they aren't alone in their inability to be perfect... Get vulnerable. Get real. Let's show the world that we're not defined by perfection." -Dan Pearce (If you want you can comment here on my blog or on his blog here)

Making Changes
My last few weeks have been pretty crazy, I don't know why but they just have. So this weekend I took a step back and realized a few things I was missing in my life. In my class last semester we learned that in able for you to be happy you need to lead a balanced life. There are three things that you need to keep balanced they are work/school, others needs and your needs. As I was reflecting I realized that my schooling and work are taking up my life. I have needs that are not being fulfilled that need to be. So this week I am working on changing that. People always say to write down your goals, so here it is:
1. I am going to eat healthier
2. Read during the day when I am not so tired
3. Get to bed by 12
4. Work out more
5. Enjoy life by getting out and doing fun things
You see I have a very extraverse personality which means I get energy by going out and doing things with other people. Which I started doing last week by going to a concert which was way fun. I saw my favorite local band, BattleSchool and my new favorite band Fictionist. They are amazing! Anyways this is what I am going to work on to live a more balanced life and to be happier. I challenge anyone that reads this to take a step back and make sure you are doing the things you need to in order to make you happy. I hope everyone can finish out this semester strong! Don't forget to love your life it will make things easier. :) Peace
