Today is Beautiful. Life is Beautiful.

Lately I have been thinking about life and how wonderful it truly is. I have to say November and December are my favorite months. One because I get to see my family and two there are wonderful lights everywhere, Christmas music and snow :) When I look outside and see the beautiful snow falling, I can't help but to realize that God has created this beautiful site for us. One of my favorite things to do is, wrap up in my Christmas blanket, listen to music and watch the snow fall. Its such an amazing site. I also love to sit in front of fire places talking and laughing with friends and family. If you didn't already know, laughing is a favorite pastime of mine. I don't understand how people go through life without laughing a lot. It makes me so happy and let me tell you, its a good work out.
This last week I took a step back and really analyzed my life. In the words of Audrey Hepburn, "The greatest victory has been to be able to live with myself, to accept my shortcomings. ...I’m a long way from the human being I’d like to be. But I’ve decided I’m not so bad after all." I have realized that I am not yet the person I want to be, but if I work on it, I can become that person. Until then, I am ok with who I am. I think everyone needs to realize that we all have great potential.We can't dwell on what we aren't and what we don't have. If we don't like who we are, change it. I would like to challenge everyone reading this, even though its not many, to make goals so you can become the person you want to be. And please never give up on yourself. Remember, you are beautiful, today is beautiful and life is beautiful.

Simply Me

So this is my first time ever doing a blog, its kind of exciting. Well I figured that I should tell a little about myself in this first post so here it goes.... 
My name is Audriana Marler, most of you know me as Audri, Aud or in some cases Audge haha. But secretly I LOVE when people call me Audriana. I am the oldest of five in my family and the only girl, which makes things exciting. I love my family and I bet you will hear a lot about them in later posts because they are a huge part of my life.  I also love all my roommates to death! I live with five other girls and you can bet that it was way hard for me to adjust from living with all boys(besides my mom), to having to live with all girls. I love all my friends and I am so grateful for my ward. I have met so many wonderful people this year. I like to play sports... ok I LOVE it! and yes sometimes I can be pretty competitive but I am working on that :) I like to do random things and I am usually up to doing anything. I also love to look at wedding blogs, go to wedding showcases and hear all about people's weddings and how they planned them. Some people may think I am obsessed but in my mind its just something I love.
I bet you are wondering what my major is, and that is a very good question! I think I finally know :) As of right now my major is going to be Parks and Recreation. With this major I want to plan/coordinate events, like receptions, banquets or things like EFY and help with voluntary services. It will also help me when I become a mom.  I can use it to plan things for my children and it will help me be a better team mom(I hope I am one someday). I am really excited about it and can't wait to jump into it!
