Oregon Trip

We started our trip by loading up the motor home in Brigham City. When we were about 20 minutes out of Tremonton, a tire blew! Ben brought all the tools he had so we thought we would be able to change it. Unfortunately we didn't have the right size of tools for the lug nuts. We called the police to see if anyone could come help us, we told them what tools we had and what we needed. When they finally got there they ended up bringing the wrong tools! So Dallin called a friend and he went and bought tools and drove out to help us. Well we got hungry waiting so we cooked ourselves some hotdogs :) Sadly he didn't bring the right size either! Dallin and his friend went back to Tremonton to see if they could find some tools, while they were gone this nice guy driving by saw that we may need some help so he stopped and helped us change it! We were very lucky because everything was closed  in Tremonton!!

We made it to Boise LATE that night, and the next morning Ben bought two new tires for the motor home, and we were on our way again! It was a LONG drive but we were in good company and  there were beds...so I got to sleep :)  As we got further into Oregon we saw these beautiful clouds and drove through them, I absolutely loved it!

We realized there was a Blazers game the night we were driving through Portland, so we decided to buy tickets! It was a really fun and loud game!

Most of the way to Oregon we had motor home troubles, so when we made it to Eugene we parked outside O'Reilly and slept there so we could buy tools in the morning. Ben and Brady did a wonderful job fixing up the motor home
We parked the motor home to do some Tailgating. We decided to go up to the school first to buy new sweatshirts. Luckily we saw a taxi dropping someone off so we took the taxi up to campus. ( so glad we did this or else we wouldn't have made it back in time to eat!) I think the taxi driver should be the weather man, he told us what the weather was going to be like the rest of the day and he was exactly right! It rained the entire time we were walking around campus, by the time we made it back to the motor home ALL my clothes were SOAKED.
We did our own kind of Tailgating inside the motor home with the heater on and cooking hot dogs :) There was a pep rally kind of thing before the game where the cheerleaders danced and cheered and there was food and all sorts of fun stuff. We even made customized Oregon sunglasses :)

We stopped at this small hometown restaurant that was delicious! Dallin ate this HUGE 1 pound burger, I think his eyes were bigger than his stomach but he did eat it all!

Girls Night

This past weekend Dallin went to Vegas for a lacrosse tournament and sadly I could not go with him. So what does that mean?! GIRLS NIGHT!! Friday night my friends came over for the ultimate girls night, we did face masks, ate junk food, talked, did our nails and watched some movies. It was so much fun! I am so glad they came over to keep me company because I hate staying alone haha

Saturday was a relaxing day, I just sat around, did some homework and found 5 cute patterns for some sewing projects!! Then I went to the Aggies Basketball game which was a blast! I LOVE going to basketball games!! I think my love for watching/going to basketball games came from my Dad :) He use to take us to the BSU Basketball games.

Have you ever felt like you need another weekend to recover from your weekend? I sure did after this one!

But I am glad to say that my husband is back and we are working hard in school so we can have a fun weekend in Oregon!! I seriously can't wait and I know he is pretty excited himself! I am just hoping that the weather isn't too cold or else I will definitely need hot chocolate ALL day Saturday to keep me warm and happy! Hope you all have a wonderful week and are excited for Thanksgiving next week! I know I am!!

Sproutflix

Yesterday in one of my classes my professor showed me a website called Sproutflix. Sproutflix is a  list of carefully selected films of artistry and intellect specifically related to the lives, performances and accomplishments of people with developmental disabilities. Go to THIS page and watch the video on the page called One Question. It is a really touching video...seriously made me tear up.

Hope you all had a great Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Carving

A few weekends ago we went to Layton to hang out with Dallin's family. Saturday we got to go to a pumpkin patch which was so fun and REALLY dusty! don't ask me why I chose to wear ALL black, obviously I wasn't thinking!

Alissa's family joined us, aren't these two girls just adorable?!

Sunday we carved the pumpkins we picked out :)

I think I go through phases and Dallin has the perfect faces for them... first: excited, second: ready to start, third: ready to be done haha

Even the girls carved/painted their pumpkins :)

Robin digging out the pumpkin guts...not my favorite part so Dallin did it for me :) what a nice husband! And this is the pumpkin she carved without a template, I think it turned out great!!
I bet you can guess which two are Dallin's and which one is mine :) yes mine is the less scary and very simple one!
Happy Halloween everyone!! Have fun trick or treating!!

Time Out

This past weekend was wonderful. If you know me well you know that I have a special relationship with all my uncles, and I was the first girl to steal their hearts :) but how could I not be, with my cuteness as a little girl you would have to be crazy not to think I was just adorable haha Well it just so happens that my Uncle Justin came to visit last weekend! He was here on business but  put time aside to spend with just me and Dallin.  My uncle Justin and I are about 12 years apart so when I was young he would use me to get girls....he is not the only Uncle who did that! ha I could probably tell you a million stories about all my uncles and how they spoiled me and "tortured" me but I will save that for another time :) Right now Justin lives in Virginia (pretty freakin far I know!) with his adorable family so I don't get to see him that often but when I do I cherish the time we have together. I just wanted to give a shout out to Justin and say thanks for spending time with us last weekend it meant the world.
Us a few years ago

This past weekend my Grandma took me to my first Time Out For Women. It was AMAZING! If any of you ever get the chance to go, do it! The speakers were amazing and Jericho Road sang some of my favorite songs. Seriously I was in tears almost the entire time, either from crying or laughing so hard I was crying.  We went with some of my distant cousins and it was pretty fun!

Our group :)

My grandma and me
We ate lunch during the break outside and it was freezing ha but the women sure knew how to take care of us girls, they brought us cookies and chocolate to take in to eat during the second half of the session to keep us awake...even though we didn't need it because we were laughing so much! Here is one of my favorite songs by Jericho Road. Listen to it because it has a great message. It talks about what a man would do for the love of a woman :) Read the lyrics HERE

                                                                  Plaids and Stripes:
I love almost everything that is plaid and striped. Plus with these two things I think you can layer a lot and make outfits look completely different.

Sweaters:

I love sweaters, but lets be honest who doesn't?! You can wear them fall or winter and you can layer them, wear scarves with them and they just look so darn cute! this does include cardigans( LOVE)
Warm Accessories:

I love accessories :)

As you can see I am totally ready for fall and layering. Happy weekend!

Happenings

My husband is a stud! Right now he is coaching a lacrosse "traveling" team. ("traveling" because they travel to Salt Lake and once to Vegas...not much traveling if you ask me!) And a softball team he has played on a few times won the championship!!

The other weekend these two Beautiful ladies came to visit me :) This is my cousin Leslie and me (a pretty old picture but I love it) and her cute little girl Brynlee :)  Leslie is one of my very best friends and I will be sad when I am no longer only a hour away :( She has visited me at least once a year since I have moved to Logan to hang out with me and have some girl time, it has been the best! The other weekend we just hung out, went to dinner then went to her Husband's Ultimate Frisbee game, it was a lot of fun. By the way, I think we need to take a few pictures this weekend with Jenni :)

I am so excited for this coming weekend!! We get to spend time with family...both of ours AND its conference weekend!!! Yay! We are lucky enough to get to go to the Sunday Morning Session. So excited :) It is also the USU v BYU game Friday. Have a wonderful week and hopefully I will get some pictures of our camping trip soon!

PS You guys have probably notice I have been changing a few things on the blog...do you like it or not? Be honest, I need your opinions because I can never make up my mind about this stuff and I always want to change it haha

Weekends in Brigham

So the last two weekends we have made visits to Brigham City. We went down to Peach Days with Dallin's sister Alissa and her adorable girls and his parents :)
If you know me, you know I LOVE fair food ( I think I get that from my Dad). So Robin, Alissa and I were dying to try some Peach cobbler so we got one to share and sadly is wasn't as good as we were hoping it would be. But on the bright side, Dallin got some ribbon fries to share which were absolutely delicious! Just thinking of those ribbon fries are making me crave some! And yes Alissa and I are both wearing stripes...we are very fashionable!
This past weekend we went to the Brigham City Open House. Man was it beautiful! It was extremely crowded but so much fun. After we went through we thought "oh the busride here wasn't that far so lets walk back" so we did. It was A LOT farther then we thought! but it was fun walking down main street and I swear the bus passed us 3 times!

Then Saturday we watched both of our teams lose :( It was a pretty sad night if you ask me. But it was fun to sit at the student center eating free Aggie ice cream and watching the USU game.

Here is a sweet video you should watch! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Recipe You Have To Try!

Are you guys seeing what I am seeing?! How good does this ------------>
look?! Well lets just say its pretty dang good! Dallin and I decided to try this recipe...which I found on Pinterest... and it was pretty good! (Real recipe HERE) We didn't use the exact same recipe, we added cilantro, put a little Garlic powder in it but I didn't put the Patatio sauce in it because I don't like hot sauce. Dallin put some in his and loved it! So try this new recipe!!

The library

School is back in session which means that we moved... we are now living on campus!! haha I am just kidding :) It feels like it though! Since we are working on campus and taking quiet a few credits we are there A LOT. The good news is that at least we have our weekends to spend time together! Here are a few pictures of our wonderful campus :) Have a wonderful week!

I may have found what I want for Christmas :) Too bad Cameras are just too dang expensive when you are a college student...even when they are discounted :(
