Finals

So dead week is over and finals start on Monday. We will be so glad when it is over but until then we will study as hard as we can! Here are 2 pictures of us studying in the library :)


You can always tell when its dead/finals week because everyone looks like this (including me obviously ^)...

Everyone looks tired and like they just got out of bed, but not as cute as this little girl haha And I bet fast food restaurants make bank by staying open late. Because after studying all the day you just want a snack and I swear no one feels like making anything. I can't wait for when we don't have to take anymore finals! Finals make me sick and not a very happy girl so I will be over joyed when next wednesday is over and I just have to work the rest of the week :)

Here is something I have been working on lately...what do you guys think? I was thinking of blowing it up to put in our house (maybe on canvas), good idea or not so much? (be honest peeps)

New Hairdo?

So this last weekend I tried a new hairdo called the braid crown. Tell me what you think (I know this is a bad picture) Basically it is a braid that wraps around your head.

Dallin and I also spent a really nice weekend together. Friday we watched the lacrosse game and then went out to dinner with some of our friends. I had my first pupusa. It was delicious!

Saturday we went to our cousin, Dylan's soccer game. It made me miss all the saturdays my family and I had together running from game to game ALL day :)

We studied a lot Saturday then we fed the ducks at First Dam. That was pretty fun except for the creepy swan that came near us! We had another fun night with friends, eating treats, talking, playing games, and telling stories.

Basically we had a fun weekend enjoying the wonderful weather while we have it! :) Hope you all had a great weekend too!!

Have any of you ever wanted something SO bad you were willing to do almost ANYTHING to get it?!

So as most of you know I am going into Parks and Recreation. Well to graduate they require a minor. Since I have been so close to getting a math minor (only 1 class left) I didn't want to turn my back on that now, so naturally I asked if a Math minor would work. In my mind I was certain they would say "Of course it is! It's math!" But they did not. I was thinking "Why not?! isn't math used in everyday life? isn't math the basis for everything? doesn't math make you smart?!" Well don't fret! After jumping through hoops, researching, stressing out about this (because who wants to get another minor when you want to be done in a year? slash if I had to get another minor I couldn't be done in a year), and getting a total of 6 canker sores (of course they came 2 at a time and would last anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks) I feel as though I have fought long and hard for it and guess what?! I won!! You better believe I feel like a million bucks right now! When I read the email at work I was about to jump out of my chair and do this...


In short...today I was FINALLY approved for a math minor :) Yes instead of taking only 1 more math class to fulfill the requirements, I had it changed to 2 so that it would apply better for my Parks and Recreation major. Oh Happy Day!

Some Thoughts & a Deal

This last weekend we decided to go for a "hike". I am not so sure I count it because it was semi paved :/ We started up this trail by First Dam and I thought it was going to go up the mountain. After walking for awhile just going up and down small hills we realized its not going to the top of the mountain. Not gonna lie I was a little bit disappointed.

I have the sweetest husband (yay me!) Today he bought me a Hot Chocolate while I was finishing up my 10 page paper :) Its a good thing too because I thought I was going to kill a few very loud and obnoxious people who sat next to me while I was finishing a test! Honestly who does that?!

I hope you all got your taxes done and celebrated by going to Sonic yesterday! It was Happy Hour all day! Dal and I went after work and got ourselves a Cherry LimeAid...SO delicious!

Easter

As you all know I am bad at taking pictures! so sorry! (I swear I was going to take pictures this weekend but I can't find my camera charger....I guess that's what I get!) I hope you all had a wonderful Easter :) we definitely did! We were lucky enough to get a cute little package from my family for Easter. My Mom sent us some easter candy and a card from my family! Pretty sure I am the only one that has been eating the candy :/ OOPS! Saturday night we went to our friend's house and played some fun games...Clue, Five Crowns and One Word. If you get a chance to play any of these DO, they are a lot of fun! Sunday was our first time in our new calling as Sunbeam teachers! They are just adorable! Thankfully they split the class so we only have 5 kids but I am way excited! They are super crazy, fun, cute and say the darnest things! Sunday afternoon we went over to Dallin's Aunt and Uncle's house for an Easter BBQ. It was so much fun and the food was delicious! We brought our favorite chips, Cheddar and Sour Cream Ruffles, yum! I thought they would be gone by dinner because they are also cute little Ella's favorite chips and she kept on sneaking them! I am glad we have good taste in chips :)

Yesterday we tried a new recipe that turned out really good. AND its super easy :) If you like shrimp you should definitely try it!


Here are the instructions: 
Melt a stick of butter in the pan. Slice one lemon and layer it on top of the butter. Put down fresh shrimp, then sprinkle one pack of dried italian seasoning. Put in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 min.


*we just bought the $5 frozen shrimp from Walmart and it turned out just fine 

This is from the last post :) This is me doing Savy's hair. I promise I am not hurting her, she just woke up from a nap and didn't want any pictures taken haha  Oh and don't pay attention to MY hair....it was conference weekend so I had been laying around all day... don't judge!

Conference Weekend

Over conference weekend we bought our first car together :) Here is a picture of it! It was extremely windy so that is why our hair is all over!

During Priesthood session, I went down to South Jordan to hang out with my cousins. It was so much fun! It felt like it had been way too long since the last time we all hung out :) All we did was eat chinese and hang out but it was just what I needed with my cousins and their adorable kids :)

At Dallin's parents house we played a lot of "May I" which is a new game I really enjoy (well new to me). We definitely have to teach it to my family because I think they would really like it too.  Alissa's family came up from Provo, they even brought their dog Molly. When they first got there, Molly came running in and every time she would get close to Shaye, Shaye would wrinkle her face and it was SO cute! I wish I had a picture to show you but you know me, I am HORRIBLE at taking pictures (something I am working on now). Sunday Alissa let me do Savy's hair and I absolutely love doing it! I was surprised at how still she sits for a girl her age.

Through the years One Tree Hill has filled me with so many emotions: I have laughed, cried, been incredibly happy, extremely angry, I fell in love and I have fallen out of love, I have disliked many people and LOVED so many others,  I fought with my best friend, made up with my best friend, kissed the man of my dreams, and became vulnerable. I have learned many things, and felt so many more. I have grown with the characters. Last night was the series finale and all I can think about is how I am going to miss this show. They have taught me to be fearless, to love unconditionally, to never give up, to follow my dreams, and not to be afraid to take chances.

I know this is a ridiculous post but I am sure everyone has a TV show like this :) so please share if you do I need a new one to watch!
